Anoka County Fair: July 21–26 — Your Complete Guide to One of Minnesota’s Best Summer Traditions
The Anoka County Fair is back with six full days of animals, live entertainment, competitions, grandstand shows, kids activities, and classic fair magic. This year’s schedule is absolutely packed, making it one of the most family‑friendly weeks of the summer.

Petting Zoo (Old Town)

• July 21–25: 11 AM–8 PM
• July 26: 11 AM–5 PM
A favorite for families—meet friendly farm animals all week long.

 

Sustainable Safari Animal Show

Daily at 4 PM in the Compass Ag Education Building

• July 21–25
Educational, interactive, and perfect for kids who love animals.

 

Swifty Swine Racing Pigs

FREE with gate admission — at the Pig Racing Track by the Beer Garden
Showtimes daily:

• July 21–25: 1 PM, 3 PM, 5 PM, 7 PM
• July 26: 1 PM, 3 PM, 5 PM
Pick your favorite pig and cheer them on!

Live Milking Demonstrations

Learn how dairy farms operate with the Mobile Dairy Classroom.

Barnyard Beat Bash Silent Disco

Silent disco with DJs and live farm animals!
Livestock Arena Building

• July 23–24: 6:30–9 PM

Big Wheel Contest (Old Town)

• Saturday, July 25• Sign‑up: 10–11 AM
• Contest: 11 AM–12 PM
Kids race for a chance to win a Big Wheel. Free with gate admission.

 

Mullet Competition (BandShell Stage)

• Sunday, July 26 at 2 PM
A crowd favorite with a $500 cash prize. Judges look for style, creativity, confidence, and full mullet personality.
Early online sign‑up available; in‑person sign‑up at 1 PM during the Diaper Derby.

 

Peddle Tractors — Daily

A fun hands‑on activity for little ones throughout the fairgrounds.

 

Grandstand Shows & Big Entertainment

General admission includes bleacher seating for all grandstand shows:

Daily Beer Garden Bingo

Presented by the Anoka Lions Club, enjoy bingo all week long in the Beer Garden:

• Kids Bingo — Tuesday, 12–2 PM
Free for kids, with toy prizes.
• Senior Bingo — Wednesday, 10–11:15 AM
Free for seniors, with various prizes.
• Split the Pot Bingo• Wednesday: 3–5 PM
• Thursday: 12–2:30 PM
• Friday: 12–2:30 PM
• Saturday: 12–2:30 PM
Cards are $1/game; winners take home half the pot.

Kids Day — Tuesday

Half‑off gate admission and all‑you‑can‑ride armbands.
Gate admission includes the Monster Truck Show.

 

Senior Day — Wednesday

Seniors 62+ receive $10 admission from 9 AM–2 PM (gate only).

 

Fireworks — Tuesday Night
