An Introduction to Resilience Physical Therapy
By Anna Pedersen, PT, DPT
Founder, Resilience Physical Therapy
Pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and pelvic health concerns can be deeply personal — and
often confusing. Many people are told their symptoms are “normal,” or are given conflicting
advice that leaves them unsure of what to do next. Others feel disconnected from their bodies or
hesitant to ask questions that don’t seem to fit neatly into a short medical appointment. I
recognize sources of this information mean well, but may unintentionally dismiss someone’s
needs that deserve to be met.
A little about me
I’m a licensed physical therapist with specialized training in pelvic health and orthopedics. Over
the course of my career, I’ve worked in a variety of healthcare settings and with people at many
different stages of pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and pelvic health care.
Those experiences helped me appreciate how many thoughtful, effective approaches to care
exist — and also clarified the kind of practice I wanted to build for myself: one that emphasizes
education, collaboration, and continuity, with time set aside for questions, context, and shared
decision-making.
I’m especially drawn to working with people during pregnancy and early postpartum, as well as
those navigating pelvic pain or early symptoms who want clarity and guidance before things
escalate. I value care that is person-centered, trauma-informed (without assumptions), and
rooted in education and autonomy.
What Resilience Physical Therapy offers
Resilience Physical Therapy is a small, independent practice based in Minnesota, offering
individualized pelvic health physical therapy through in-person and virtual visits.
My work often focuses on helping people:
● Navigate pregnancy with more confidence and less fear
● Address early pelvic, hip, or back pain
● Understand what is in their control and how to work with their body
● Prepare for birth in a way that feels grounded and empowering
● Rebuild trust and connection with their body
Sessions are unrushed and collaborative. My goal isn’t to “fix” you, but to help you understand
your body, reduce unnecessary tension or pain, and feel more capable moving forward.
Who might be a good fit
People who tend to resonate with my practice often:
● Are thoughtful, curious, and proactive about their health
● Feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice
● Want clear explanations and individualized care
● Value a calm, respectful approach
● Are looking for support that goes beyond quick checklists
I also regularly connect with people who ultimately decide another provider or path is a better fit— and when that’s the case, I do my best to help point them toward appropriate resources.
A note on access and health equity
I care deeply about access to care and the reality that many people struggle to receive the
support they need — whether due to cost, availability, time constraints, or systemic barriers.
At this stage, Resilience Physical Therapy operates as a private-pay practice, which allows
me to offer a slower pace, flexible options, and a high level of continuity and personal attention.
It also means that my current services are most accessible to people who are able to budget for
them.
This is something I hold with intention. I’m continually learning, listening, and exploring ways to broaden access through education, community resources, and future offerings, while practicing transparently and responsibly in the present.
How to get in touch
If you’re feeling curious, unsure, or simply wanting clearer information, a brief, no-pressure
clarity call can be a helpful place to start. It’s a chance to explore whether working together feels
like the right fit — and to talk through other options if it doesn’t.
