As families across the Twin Cities prepare for a new school year, local moms are stepping up in a big way — and MN Mom Community is proud to stand right beside them. This year’s Back to School Community Free Swap is more than an event; it’s a reminder of what happens when neighbors look out for one another and choose generosity over stress.
Hosted at the Centennial Library Community Room, this free swap brings together gently used and new items to help families start the school year with confidence. From backpacks and lunchboxes to children’s clothing (sizes 4T–14/16) and shoes, the event offers essentials that can make a big difference for families navigating the rising costs of school preparation.
Everything is free. Everyone is welcome. Families can simply take what they need — no questions asked.
Please take a moment to take this poll on items you are in need of or would like to donate. This will help us plan as best as we can for this event. If you need to coordinate drop off or pick up, please use this form and we will be in contact with you.

Why This Event Matters
Back‑to‑school season can be overwhelming, especially for families juggling tight budgets. By sharing what we have, we lighten the load for one another. This swap is a reflection of the heart of our community: moms, caregivers, and neighbors who want every child to feel ready, confident, and excited for the year ahead.
MN Mom Community is proud to partner with local moms who care deeply about their neighborhoods and show up to support families in meaningful ways. Their leadership and generosity make events like this possible.
Donation Drop‑Off Information
