Nominate a Mom for the Ultimate Mother’s Day Giveaway!
Mother’s Day is almost here, and if there’s one thing we know about moms in Minnesota—it’s that they show up. They show up for their kids, their families, their neighbors, their schools, their workplaces, and their communities in a thousand everyday (often invisible) ways.
That’s why I’m so excited to announce our Mother’s Day “Nominate a Mom” Giveaway—a celebration created for the MN Mom Community to highlight local moms who deserve to be recognized in a big way this year!
You can nominate your mom. You can nominate yourself (yes—please do). You can nominate a neighbor, a mom friend, a stepmom, a foster mom, a bonus mom, a single mom, a grandma raising grandkids—or any woman in your life who is a mom and makes our community better just by being in it. No “perfect mom” standard—just real stories of real moms.
How the Giveaway Works
- Step 1: Nominate a mom. Fill out the quick nomination form here: http://bit.ly/4dEzPeK . Tell us why she deserves to be celebrated (a short story is perfect!).
- Step 2: We’ll choose finalists. After nominations close, we’ll review entries and select 15 finalist moms to feature.
- Step 3: Public voting. Our community will vote during the Voting Period, and the top 6 moms (based on votes) will win prizes.
- Step 4: We celebrate our winners! We’ll announce the winners by May 8th, 2026.
Key dates: Nominations are open April 10th through April 24th. Finalists will be announced on April 27th. Voting runs April 27th through May 6th.

If writing a nomination feels intimidating, keep it simple. A few specific details go a long way. You might share:
- How she shows up for her family (in big ways or small, everyday ways)
- How she supports other people (neighbors, friends, school community, church/community groups, etc.)
- Something she’s overcome and the way she keeps going
- Why you want her to feel seen and celebrated this Mother’s Day
