If you love scoring great deals on gently used kids’ clothes, baby gear, toys, books, and all the things our families go through fast—mark your calendar for the upcoming Just Between Friends (JBF) Sale in Coon Rapids. It’s a favorite Twin Cities-area shopping event for a reason: big selection, great prices, and a fun “treasure hunt” vibe.
- Shop smart: Stock up for the next season, grab backup shoes/boots, and don’t forget outdoor gear.
- Bring a list (and a bag): It’s easy to find more than you planned when the deals are good.
- Consider consigning: Turn outgrown items into cash (or credit) while helping other local families.
Short on time? Ask about Valet Tagging (Valet Taggers)
Want the benefits of consigning at JBF but don’t have time to prep, tag, and hang everything? That’s exactly why JBF offers a Valet Tagging Service. Valet taggers can help get your items ready for the sale so you can participate without the time crunch.
How it works
- Contact a valet tagger and arrange a time to meet and hand off your items.
- Your valet tagger prepares (tags) your items for the upcoming sale.
- When tagging is complete, your tagger will contact you to pick up your items and pay them directly at that time.
- You’ll still bring your items to consignor drop-off, and return for consignor pick-up to claim any unsold items (unless you choose to donate everything to charity).
Fees
- $0.50 per item tagged
- $0.25 per item handled but unable to be tagged (stains, holes, broken items, etc.)
- Additional supply fee (hangers, pins, cardstock, ink, etc.)—amount varies, so ask your valet tagger what they charge
Pricing your items
Valet taggers are experienced JBF sellers and know what price points tend to move best. You can absolutely share what you’re comfortable with, but it helps to trust their judgment and experience so your items sell well.
Reduce & donate options (so you don’t have to take everything home)
- Choose to have your items reduced to half-price on the final day of the sale.
- Don’t want items back? Opt to donate unsold items after the sale to JBF’s charity partner—no need to return for consignor pick-up.
- If you mark all items to both reduce and donate if they don’t sell, JBF will credit back your Eventbrite consignor fee to your check.
How much you earn
With valet tagging, you earn the same percentage as all consignors: 60% of your sold items. You can earn even more—70%—if you choose SmartPay (in-store credit to use at future JBF Maple Grove & Coon Rapids sales).
What happens at drop-off
When you arrive for drop-off, let the team know during computer check-in that your items were valet tagged. They’ll ask a few questions and give you a fast pass through inspection. Then you’ll place your items on the sales floor—and you can watch your sales add up online in your tagging account.
